The year’s Chalk Art Festival benefiting the Utah Foster Care Foundation was held at the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City, UT. The Salt Lake Tribune posted a picture online of my wife Marilee and I working on our addition to the festival.
In April 2008 I worked with students in my art classes at Mountain Ridge High School to create a 5 foot by 24 foot painted tile mural for Hacienda Healthcare Skilled Nursing Facility in Phoenix. View the article about the unveiling of the mural.
The murals that Roger created with our youth are outstanding. The youth had such a great time with this service project that they ask about working with Roger again to paint other rooms for the Housing Authority. — Cassandra Meyers, Housing Authority of Salt Lake County
Roger has partnered with our afterschool programs for the past several years. We have been extremely impressed with not only his artistic abilities and expertise, but his ability to bring together a community of students to create meaningful murals that make a difference to the school. — Kelly Riding, Salt Lake County Youth Services
"It's really great for students and others to help out the community. It feels good to be a part of it." (Quoted from Peoria Republic article) — Adam Froke - 17, Mountain Ridge High School
